Deep autumn color palette
Maybe it was too cool toned? On the flip side, I felt that golden tones ended up looking too brassy. My mom even told me that it looked “too goth” haha. Similarly as mentioned above, the soft black made me look pale. I prefer to keep my hair dark now because I think it brings out my eyes. I can still wear deep black mascara though.ģ) I’ve dyed my hair for several years now: from light golden brown to soft black (never jet or blue black).

It wasn’t until recently that I discovered that a deep brown liner is way more flattering. I thought there was something wrong with me for many years lol. I hear that this is usually an issue for those who are pale (I’m not).

A lot of foundations labelled as warm look too peach or olive on my skin.Ģ) I know that black liner is all the craze now, but it makes me look so tired. Lots of times I struggle to find a foundation that is golden enough. I *think* I am more of a Deep Autumn I was wondering if these would be further proof that I am a DA:ġ) I definitely have golden undertones to my skin. I’m Asian with dark hair and eyes (I think Kim Kardashian has a similar coloring as I do, but I notice that she often wears DW colors). I’ve been trying to decide whether I am a Deep Autumn or a Deep Winter. If it can be useful, I have brown/black hair, medium neutral skintone with an olive cast to it and Hazel/green eyes. I am in my twenties and I find these colors to be too strong for my age and appearance so I wonder if you could give me some advice:Īre there any colors of lipstick/lipgloss I could use for everyday make up that are not too strong and wearable by younger Deep Autumn women or for people like me that don’t feel comfortable in such dark shades?
#DEEP AUTUMN COLOR PALETTE SKIN#
But I have discovered that the lipsticks that make deep autumn skin glow are really dark ones like spice, rust, mahogany or brown. Even before trying to find out which season I am, I already wore only dark clothes but I have a “problem” with the make up: I am not a person who likes strong and rich colors on the face, I have never put on a red lipstick to go out, I just use a lip balm or a gloss for work. I am almost sure I am a Deep Autumn since pastels totally wash me out, summer and even winter colors colors make my skin look gray and bright colors overwhelm my face. Would you say I got my season wrong? Any suggestions? Should all the colors of one’s own season work? Thanks!!! Optical white is not great, but not deadly, either. black is not my best color but it doesn’t look too bad, especially if the clothes are made of wool or velvet. My worst colors (= people asking me if I’m sick) are camel, very light pastels, dark greys. So, is it possible that some colors of my season don’t work for me? Do I have it all wrong? (I can definetly borrow some shades from deep winter, but not all deep winter shades work.) While autumn greens (pine, khaki, greyed and military greens) make me look wonderful I really cannot wear the camels and beiges of this season.

Apart from my lips (and cool hair color – it has cooled with age), everything else seems to point to a deep autumn. My hair and eyebrows are a very cool medium-to-dark brown. My eyes are a very warm (reddish-orangey) shade of medium-to-dark brown. I think I am an autum, as my (fair/ medium fair) complexion leans a bit warm (my face is much more neutral than my body, but still looks a bit better in gold than silver).

I have a lot of doubts however – though I know it is very difficult for someone to answer without pictures or meeting in person. Thank you for this comprehensive list of best and worst colors!
